Most Awful Day Ever

It kicked off with my toaster going psychotic. I tripped over the floor/wall and managed to break my ankle. Then, I ruined my breakfast, which was supposed a simple pancake. To top it all off, I forgot my keys and was stranded for work/school/an important meeting.

My day just kept getting worse from there. I had a awful meeting/presentation/conversation with my boss/teacher/friend, and then I was stuck in the worst traffic jam/rain storm/heat wave imaginable. By the end of the day, I was exhausted.

This truly was the worst day ever!

A subtle/ominous/foreboding feeling/presence/aura of unease/terror/discomfort settled over me like a heavy/suffocating/unbearable blanket. Little/ Everything seemed/felt out of place/off/wrong. The world around me became/transformed/shifted into a distorted/nightmarish/bizarre landscape, and I was trapped/helpless/abandoned in the midst of it all. My heart/breath/mind raced as a wave of terror/panic/fear engulfed/washed over/consumed me. It was my worst nightmare, playing out before my very eyes, more tangible than I could have ever imagined/conceived/anticipated.
